Description
Ares Keymod Flip-Up Front Sight (Black, AS-F-020)
This is an Ares flip-up front sight in black, Ares code AS-F-020. Our listing names it as a Keymod flip-up front sight, so it is intended to fit directly onto a Keymod handguard rather than a standard Picatinny rail. We also stock the closely numbered AS-F-021.
A flip-up front sight is one of the simplest and most useful additions to a rifle. Paired with a rear sight, it gives you a reliable backup to an optic and folds out of the way when you are using a red dot or scope. It is also a neat choice for players who prefer plain iron sights.
Why fit flip-up sights
Optics can fog up, run flat or get knocked out of zero. With a flip-up front and rear sight already on the rifle, you can carry on playing with iron sights in a few seconds. When folded, a flip-up sight sits low and keeps out of the field of view of most red dots and holographic sights.
Iron sights also teach good shooting habits, because you have to line up the front post with the rear aperture rather than simply placing a dot on the target.
Fitting and zeroing
Mount the front sight at the front of the handguard so it lines up with your rear sight on the top rail. Keymod handguards use keyhole-shaped slots, and Keymod accessories fix in place with screws and special nuts that lock into those slots. Tighten the screws evenly and firmly, but do not over-tighten.
Once both sights are fitted, flip them up and set your hop-up at your usual engagement distance, then adjust the sights so the BBs land where you are aiming.

Compatibility
Our listing names this sight as Keymod. A retailer listing for the related AS-F-021 describes a Picatinny mount, so please compare the mount in the product images with your handguard before ordering, and contact us if you are unsure. You will need a rear sight to make a complete set.
Care and maintenance
Wipe the sight clean after muddy or wet games and check that it is still tight on the rail. Avoid over-tightening the mounting screws, as this can damage the handguard or the sight. Fold the sight down for transport so it is protected from knocks.
Who is it for?
Players who want a simple, low-profile backup front sight for a Keymod-railed M4 or Ares Amoeba-style rifle, or anyone setting up a clean iron sight arrangement.
Please note: This is a front sight only; a rear sight is not listed as included. Please check the mount type in the images before ordering.
