ARES – Amoeba Mag Catch Set
This is a magazine catch set for Ares Amoeba rifles. Ares produces the Amoeba range of AEGs, known for their modern styling and good value, and this set is a replacement or spare for the parts that hold the magazine in place.
The magazine catch locks your magazine in the magazine well and releases it when you press the button. If the catch is worn, damaged or missing parts, magazines can wobble, sit at the wrong height or drop out during play, all of which lead to feeding problems and lost magazines. A fresh set restores a secure fit.
Signs you need a new catch
Watch out for a magazine that wobbles more than it used to, one that will not lock home, or one that falls out without the release being pressed. A loose magazine can also cause misfeeds, because the BBs are not presented to the hop-up at the correct height.
Replacing the catch parts as a set makes sure every part works together and saves hunting for individual springs and pins.
