Description
Big Foot Strike Steel Mesh Mask with Ear Protection (Tan)
The Big Foot Strike Steel Mesh Mask with Ear Protection is a lower-face mesh mask in tan with integrated ear covers. It protects your mouth, teeth, cheeks and ears from BB hits, areas that are left exposed by goggles alone and that can be painful to take a hit on, particularly at close range.
Big Foot makes affordable protective and tactical gear for airsoft, and this style of mask is one of the most popular choices at UK sites because it gives good protection while staying cool, light and easy to talk through. It suits new players buying their first kit as well as experienced players who want a spare or a tan option to match their loadout.
Design
As the name suggests, the face section uses steel mesh, which stops BBs while letting air flow freely, so you can breathe and speak easily and your goggles are less prone to fogging than with a solid mask. The product photo shows mesh ear covers on each side, giving protection to the ears, which are easy to overlook until you take a hit there.
Check the images for the fastening layout, which is typically a strap arrangement around the back of the head, to see how it will sit with your goggles and any helmet or headset.
Colour
Tan suits coyote, desert and Multicam-toned loadouts and pairs well with tan helmets, caps and plate carriers.
Wearing it
Fit the mask before your goggles so the two sit together without gaps, then check that you can move your head and aim comfortably. Because the mesh covers the ears, sound is slightly muffled compared with wearing nothing, but you can still hear calls and conversation; if you use a headset, try it with the mask before game day.

- Helps reduce goggle fogging compared with solid masks

Compatibility
Works with most full-seal goggles, caps and helmets. Masks with ear covers can sit differently under a headset or helmet, so try your full setup together before playing.
Care and maintenance
Rinse or wipe the mask after use to remove sweat and dirt, then let it air-dry completely before storing to prevent rust on the mesh and odour in any padding. Inspect the mesh and its edges regularly and replace the mask if the mesh is dented, torn or coming away from its frame.
Who is it for?
This mask suits airsoft players who want light, breathable lower-face and ear protection at a sensible price, especially those running tan or Multicam kit.
Please note: This is lower-face protection only: always wear full-seal, impact-rated eye protection with it, and check your site’s rules on face protection before playing.
