Description

LCT LCKSM AEG (Rifle)

The LCT LCKSM is a full-size electric airsoft rifle based on the folding-stock AKM, built with the stamped steel and wood construction that LCT is known for. With a steel under-folding stock, wood handguard and riveted steel receiver, it looks and feels much like the real thing, and it folds down to a compact length for vehicles and buildings.

LCT is a Taiwanese manufacturer best known for its steel AK replicas, which are widely regarded as some of the most realistic and durable AK-pattern AEGs available. Their combination of stamped steel, real wood and a standard, upgradeable gearbox has made them a favourite with AK enthusiasts and milsim players. The LCKSM suits players who want a properly solid AK with real weight and character, rather than a lightweight polymer replica.

Build and materials

The receiver is made from stamped steel and riveted, just as on a real AK, and the barrel, gas piston assembly, front sight and muzzle are steel too. The handguard is real wood, while the motor grip is polymer. The supplier lists the weight at around 3.52kg, which gives the rifle a reassuring heft and steadies it when shooting.

The steel under-folding stock folds beneath the receiver, taking the rifle from around 920mm with the stock extended to about 670mm folded. That makes it easy to carry in a car and handy in tight spaces, while the extended stock gives a stable shoulder position on open ground. An adjustable rear leaf sight completes the classic AK look.

Performance and internals

Inside is a metal Version 3 gearbox with 9mm bearings and a short-type motor. Because it uses a standard Version 3 layout, it accepts common Tokyo Marui-compatible upgrade parts, so it can be tuned over time as your needs change. The 6.02mm tight-bore inner barrel is listed at 435mm long.

The hop-up is adjustable through an easy-access slide, so you can set it to suit your BB weight without stripping the rifle. Fire modes are safe, semi and full auto, selected with the AK-style lever on the side of the receiver.

Battery and magazine

The battery is not included. The supplier recommends a 9.6V small stick NiMH or a 7.4V stick LiPo, wired to the dust cover with a small Tamiya connector, so the battery sits under the dust cover in the traditional AK way. The rifle comes with a mid-capacity magazine, and it works with LCT and other compatible AK-series AEG magazines.

Getting started

Fully charge a suitable battery before first use, then fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, wind it if it is a high-capacity type, and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight.

Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and keep a note of the hop setting that suits your favourite BB weight so you can return to it quickly.

Compatibility

The LCKSM takes LCT and other compatible AK-series AEG magazines, including many from Dboy and CYMA. It uses a small Tamiya battery connector, so if your battery has a different plug you will need a suitable adaptor or to have the connector changed. The Version 3 gearbox accepts standard Tokyo Marui-compatible internal parts.

Care and maintenance

Take the battery out after every game and store it away from the rifle, and charge LiPo batteries only on a proper balance charger under supervision. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a dry cloth patch every few games, as dirt and broken BB fragments are the main causes of flyers. Stick to good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight.

Check screws, the flash hider and any mounts before each game day, and store the rifle somewhere dry. Leave the hop-up at a light setting in storage, and if the rifle has an electronic trigger unit, a fully charged battery helps it read the trigger cleanly.

Who is it for?

AK enthusiasts and milsim players who want a heavy, authentic steel and wood AK with a compact folding stock and a gearbox that can be upgraded over time.

Please note: Battery and charger are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when using airsoft replicas.
