Description
Snow Wolf SW-06 M3A1 Grease Gun Gearbox
This is a replacement gearbox for the Snow Wolf SW-06 M3A1 Grease Gun, a full metal AEG replica of the famous Second World War American submachine gun. Because the M3A1 has such an unusual shape, its gearbox uses a unique shell designed specifically to fit inside the replica. A standard Version 2 or Version 3 gearbox will not fit, so if your Grease Gun’s gearbox is damaged or worn, this matching part is the way to get it back in action.
It is also a sensible spare for regular M3A1 users or teams running several Grease Guns, as having a gearbox on hand means a breakdown does not have to keep you off the field for long.
Design and internals
The gearbox shell is shaped to suit the M3A1’s compact receiver and is rear wired. Although the shell itself is unique to this replica, it is designed to work with familiar AEG parts: it takes M4-style air nozzles and Version 2 or Version 3 pistons, which makes servicing and upgrading easier than you might expect for such an unusual gun. The SW-06 uses a standard long-shaft motor, and the battery sits in the pistol grip.
Fitting
Installing a gearbox requires dismantling the replica, so it is best done by someone experienced with AEG internals, or by a technician. Take photos as you strip the gun so you can see how wiring and parts are routed, and keep screws organised. After fitting, check the motor height and hop-up before test firing.

Care and maintenance
Once fitted, look after the gearbox by using a suitable battery for the SW-06, not over-spinning the motor, and avoiding long bursts of full-auto that build up heat. If the gun is used heavily, have the gearbox inspected and re-greased periodically by a technician. Store the replica with the battery disconnected and removed.
Who is it for?
Owners of the Snow Wolf SW-06 M3A1 who need to repair or rebuild their replica, and airsoft technicians servicing Grease Guns.
Please note: Fitting requires technical experience; if in doubt, have it installed by a technician.
