ACM Micro Deans type connectors pair – Female
This ACM pack holds two female micro Deans-type connectors, as named. They are the smaller relative of the standard Deans T-plug, keeping the flat-blade design in a compact body that suits small batteries and tight battery spaces.
ACM is a budget-friendly airsoft brand, which makes it easy to keep a few spare connectors in the toolbox.
Where they are used
Micro Deans connectors are a common choice where a standard Deans plug is too bulky, such as on small LiPo batteries, compact replicas and accessories with lighter wiring. The shape of the contacts means they only plug in one way round, which helps avoid reversed polarity.
This pack contains female connectors only, which mate with male micro Deans connectors. ACM also lists a male pair, so you can buy both sides together for a rewiring job.
Fitting
These connectors are soldered onto the end of the wiring. Slide heat-shrink tubing over each wire before soldering, tin the wire and the connector tab, join them, then shrink the tubing over the joint so no bare metal is exposed. Use enough heat for a clean, shiny joint, but do not hold the iron on the connector for so long that the plastic housing softens.
The female connector, with its shrouded contacts, is often fitted to the battery side so that the live contacts are protected. Always check that red goes to red and black to black before connecting a battery for the first time.

Compatibility
These mate only with male micro Deans-type connectors. They do not fit full-size Deans, mini Tamiya or XT30 connectors, so if your battery and replica use different types you will need to change one end or use an adapter lead.
Care and maintenance
Unplug batteries by gripping the connector bodies rather than pulling on the wires, and replace any connector that becomes loose, discoloured or melted. Keep connectors clean and dry, and store batteries unplugged.
Insulate every joint with heat-shrink, and check the wiring for nicks or cracks whenever you charge the battery.
