Description
Ares 6.03mm x 430mm Precision Tight-Bore Inner Barrel (IB-CU6.03×430)
This is an Ares precision tight-bore inner barrel with a 6.03mm bore and a length of 430mm, listed with the part code IB-CU6.03×430. Swapping a stock inner barrel for a precision tight-bore one is one of the classic upgrades for better consistency and accuracy in an AEG.
Ares is a Hong Kong airsoft manufacturer known for its own rifle designs and electronic gearboxes, and it supplies upgrade and replacement parts for its range.
Why a tight bore
Most stock barrels have a slightly wider bore. A 6.03mm tight bore leaves less space around the BB, so less air slips past it and the BB is guided more closely down the barrel. Many players find this gives more consistent velocity and tighter groups, especially combined with a good hop-up rubber and quality BBs.
Because a tighter bore seals better, velocity often rises slightly after fitting one, so always have the replica chronographed afterwards.
Choosing the length
The 430mm length suits longer rifles, such as full-length rifles and DMR-style builds. Inner barrel length is set by the outer barrel and hop-up unit, so measure your existing barrel, or check your replica’s manual, before ordering.

Compatibility
Fits replicas that take a 430mm inner barrel and a standard AEG-type hop-up unit. Hop window position, barrel cut-outs and the C-clip or locking groove vary between makes, so please compare it with your existing barrel, or contact us with your replica’s make and model, before ordering. A 6.03mm barrel can also change the velocity, so check your site’s limits.
Care and maintenance
Clean the barrel with a cleaning rod and a dry or lightly moistened patch, pushing from the hop-up end where possible, and let it dry fully before refitting. Use only good quality seamless BBs, as dirty or damaged BBs foul a tight bore quickly. Do not use oil in the barrel, as it collects dirt and affects the hop-up.
If you are not confident working on your replica, have the part fitted by an experienced technician.
Who is it for?
It suits players and technicians building or upgrading a longer AEG who want better consistency and accuracy from a tight-bore barrel.
Please note: The hop-up rubber and tools are not included. Always have your replica chronographed after fitting and before play.
