Description
Cyma CM515 M4 Long RIS AEG (Sports Line) (Black)
The Cyma CM515 is an M4-style AEG from Cyma’s Sports Line, a range built to give new players a dependable, affordable rifle that is easy to maintain and upgrade. This version is fitted with a long RIS handguard, with rails around the front end for grips, torches, lasers and other accessories.
The M4 is the most popular platform in airsoft, so the CM515 benefits from a huge choice of compatible magazines, parts and accessories. It is a great first rifle, and a dependable spare for experienced players.
Build and materials
To keep the price sensible and the weight down, the Sports Line uses high-density polymer for the receiver, pistol grip and stock, with an alloy outer barrel and gearbox shell. The result is a rifle that is light, comfortable to carry for a full day and tough enough for regular play.
The long RIS handguard gives plenty of 20mm rail space for accessories, and the top rail takes standard red dots and scopes. The buffer tube stock adjusts through several positions, so you can set the length of pull to suit your build and kit.
Performance and internals
Inside is a Version 2 gearbox, the most common AEG gearbox design, with 18:1 steel gears and 8mm steel bushings. Because V2 parts are so widely available, the CM515 is easy to service and upgrade over time.
A 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel and rotary hop-up give good consistency, and the familiar M4 controls offer safe, semi and full auto. The outer barrel has a 14mm counter-clockwise thread for tracers and mock suppressors.
Battery and set-up
The battery sits in the stock, and the Sports Line M4s use a Mini Tamiya connector. A 7.4V LiPo or 9.6V NiMH in a crane or nunchuck configuration is a typical fit. If you change to a different connector, make sure it is done properly with a good soldered joint.

Compatibility

Use a battery that fits the stock tube, such as a crane or nunchuck pack, and 0.20g or 0.25g seamless BBs.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery whenever the rifle is not in use, and store it separately at a sensible storage charge. Never leave a battery plugged in overnight or in a hot vehicle, and only charge with a charger suited to the battery chemistry.
Run a cleaning rod with a soft patch through the inner barrel every few games, or whenever accuracy drops, to clear dirt and BB residue. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as cheap or damaged BBs are the most common cause of jams and hop-up wear.
Keep the outside of the gun dry and wipe off mud and moisture after a game. Store it in a padded bag or case away from damp, and have a qualified technician look at the gearbox if you notice changes in sound, rate of fire or trigger response.
Who is it for?
The CM515 suits new players wanting a solid first M4, budget-conscious players and experienced players looking for a reliable spare or project base.
