Description
ACM 600mA Smart Charger for 8.4V Airsoft NiMH NiCd Batteries
The ACM 600mA Smart Charger is a charger for 8.4V NiMH and NiCd airsoft batteries. It charges at 600mA, a moderate rate that is gentle on batteries, and its smart design is intended to manage the charge for you, making it a simple, affordable way to keep your AEG batteries topped up.
8.4V nickel metal hydride (NiMH) packs are still supplied with many entry-level AEGs, and plenty of players continue to use them because they are robust and easy to look after. A dedicated charger matched to the battery type and voltage is the safest way to charge them, and the ACM charger is a sensible choice to keep in your kit bag or by the bench at home.
Charging times
At 600mA, charging time depends on the capacity and state of your battery. As a rough guide, a fully flat 1600mAh pack takes in the region of three hours, and smaller packs take less. Batteries that are only partly discharged will be ready sooner. Always follow the instructions supplied with the charger and the battery.
A moderate charging current like this generates less heat in the cells than a fast charge, which helps look after the battery over its life.
Charging safely
Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface away from anything that could catch fire, and stay nearby while the battery is charging. Unplug the charger and disconnect the battery once charging is complete, and do not charge a battery that is damaged, swollen or very hot.

Compatibility
For 8.4V NiMH and NiCd batteries only. Do not use it to charge LiPo, Li-ion or LiFe batteries, which need a dedicated balance charger. Check that the charger’s connector matches your battery’s connector before ordering, or use a suitable adaptor; ask us if you are unsure.
Care and maintenance
Keep the charger and its leads clean and dry, and check the cables and plugs for damage before each use. Store it somewhere dry when not in use.
Store NiMH batteries in a cool, dry place and give them a full charge before a game day. If a battery has been unused for a long time, it may take a couple of charge cycles to reach full capacity again.
Who is it for?
Players with 8.4V NiMH or NiCd AEG batteries who want a simple, affordable charger for home or the kit bag.
Please note: For NiMH and NiCd batteries only. Never leave batteries charging unattended.
