Description
ACM Compact Microprocessor Charger N3 for NiMH/NiCd Batteries (EU Version)
The ACM N3 is a compact, microprocessor-controlled charger for NiMH and NiCd batteries, as named. A microprocessor charger monitors the battery while it charges and is designed to stop or reduce the charge when the battery is full, which is kinder to your batteries than a basic timed or trickle charger.
ACM supplies a wide range of affordable airsoft accessories and spares, and a dedicated charger like this is a sensible buy if you run NiMH batteries in your AEGs. This is the EU version, as named, so it is supplied for European two-pin sockets. In the UK you will need a suitable, good-quality plug adapter, or a charger supplied with a UK plug.
Why use a smart charger
NiMH and NiCd batteries are tough, but overcharging them makes them hot, shortens their life and can damage the cells. A microprocessor-controlled charger takes the guesswork out of charging, so you can top up a pack before a game day with less risk of cooking it.
A compact charger is also easy to keep in a kit bag, so you can recharge between games at a site that has power available.
Using it
Check the battery’s voltage and chemistry against the charger before you connect it, and make sure the plug on the charger lead matches your battery’s connector or use the correct adapter. Connect the battery, plug in the charger and follow the indicator on the unit. If the battery becomes very hot, disconnect it and let it cool.
Key features
- ACM N3 compact charger
- Microprocessor controlled
- For NiMH and NiCd batteries (as named)
- Compact size for the kit bag
- Kinder to batteries than a basic charger
- EU version (EU plug)
Compatibility
For NiMH and NiCd batteries only. Do not use it to charge LiPo, Li-ion or LiFe batteries, which need a dedicated lithium charger. The supported voltage range and output connector are not stated in our listing, so please check the product photos or contact us with your battery details before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Always charge on a hard, non-flammable surface, away from anything that could catch fire, and never leave a battery charging unattended. Unplug the charger when charging is finished.
Keep the charger dry and dust-free, check the leads and plugs for damage before each use, and stop using it if the case, cable or connector is cracked or overheating. Let a hot battery cool down after use before you charge it.
Who is it for?
It is for AEG players running NiMH or NiCd batteries who want a compact, smart charger, and who have or will use a suitable plug adapter for UK sockets.
Please note: Batteries are not included. This is the EU version: a UK plug adapter is needed for UK sockets. Not for lithium batteries.
