This is an ACM kill flash in tan, made to fit replica 552 and 551 style holographic sights. A kill flash is a honeycomb-pattern filter that sits over the front window of a sight to cut down the glint that sunlight can reflect off the glass.
The 552 and 551 are two of the best-known holographic sight designs, and replicas of them are among the most popular optics in airsoft. How it works
The honeycomb cells act like hundreds of tiny tubes. Light coming straight through reaches the sight window as normal, but light arriving at an angle is blocked, so far less sunlight is reflected back towards anyone looking in your direction. You may notice the view becomes a little darker, which is the normal trade-off for reduced glare.
The kill flash also gives the front window some protection from twigs, knocks and stray BBs, which is useful on replica sights with thinner glass.
Fitting
