Description

ACM M1 3-10x50E Rifle Scope with RIS Mounts (Black)

This is the ACM M1 3-10x50E rifle scope, supplied with RIS mounts and finished in black. It is a variable-magnification scope that zooms from 3x to 10x, with a 50mm objective lens, and the E in the name marks it as a scope with an illuminated reticle. ACM produces a wide range of affordable airsoft optics, and this is a straightforward way to add a magnified sight to a sniper rifle or DMR.

Magnified optics are not just for long shots. In airsoft they help you spot players hidden in cover, identify whether a target is friend or foe, and place careful shots with a bolt-action rifle. The larger 50mm objective lens is the bigger option of the two M1 3-10x scopes, giving it a more substantial look on a full-length sniper rifle. Bear in mind it is also the bulkier choice and needs more clearance above the rail.

Using the magnification

At the low end of the range, 3x gives a wide field of view that makes it easier to find targets and track moving players. Wind it up towards 10x when you need to look closely into a bush, check a distant player’s armband or line up a deliberate shot on a stationary target.

Many players leave the scope at a lower setting while moving and only zoom in once they have found something worth looking at.

Illuminated reticle

The E at the end of the model name is the usual way scope makers mark an illuminated reticle. Check the product images and any instructions supplied for how the illumination is controlled and what it needs to run.

An illuminated reticle helps in woodland shade, buildings and low light, where a plain black crosshair can disappear against a dark background. Keep the brightness low enough that it does not dazzle you or wash out the target.

Zeroing

Zeroing an airsoft optic is a little different from a real-steel rifle. Set your hop-up first, so the BBs fly flat at your usual engagement distance, then adjust the windage and elevation turrets until the point of impact matches the crosshair. If you change BB weight or hop setting, check your zero again.

  • ACM M1 3-10x50E rifle scope
  • RIS mounts

Compatibility

The RIS mounts are designed for 20mm Picatinny/Weaver-style rails, the standard found on most modern airsoft rifles. Check that your rifle has a long enough stretch of free rail for both rings, and that the scope’s height clears your front sight or handguard.

A scope of this size suits bolt-action sniper rifles, DMR builds and full-length AEGs better than short carbines and SMGs, where it can feel bulky.

Care and maintenance

Clean the lenses with a soft lens cloth or lens brush only, never with your sleeve, as grit scratches coatings. Keep the lens caps on, or the scope covered, when you are not using it.

Check the mount screws before each game, as a loose ring lets the scope shift and loses your zero. If the scope has an illuminated reticle, switch it off after use and remove any battery before long-term storage.

Who is it for?

This scope is for sniper and DMR players who want variable magnification and an illuminated reticle on a budget, and for anyone adding their first magnified optic to a full-length rifle.

Please note: Rifle not included. Never look at the sun through any optic, and always wear eye protection when playing airsoft.
