This ACM quick coupler socket is a stainless steel fitting with a standard 1/8 BSP thread, listed for use with Krale hand pumps and similar equipment. A quick coupler lets you connect and disconnect an air line quickly without tools, which makes filling high-pressure air equipment far more convenient.

How it works
A quick coupler system has two halves: the socket (the female half, which this part is) and a matching plug or nipple. The socket’s sleeve or collar is pulled back, the plug is pushed in, and the sleeve locks it in place. Releasing the pressure and pulling the sleeve back again lets the two halves separate.
The 1/8 BSP thread on this socket lets it screw on to equipment with a matching port, such as the outlet of a hand pump or an air line fitting. Seal the thread with PTFE tape or a suitable thread sealant, and tighten it firmly with the correct spanner.
Choosing the right fitting
Quick couplers come in several patterns, and BSP threads are not the same as NPT threads, even when the sizes look similar. Make sure the plug on your other equipment is the matching type for this socket, and that the thread on your pump or fitting is 1/8 BSP.
