AGM M4 Body Pins
These AGM M4 body pins are replacement pins for AGM’s M4-pattern airsoft replicas. On an M4 the body pins are the two pins that hold the upper and lower receivers together: the front pivot pin lets the upper hinge open, and the rear takedown pin locks it closed. They take a lot of handling every time the gun is opened for maintenance, so they are a common part to lose, bend or wear.
AGM produces a range of affordable AEGs, many of them based on the M4 platform. If a pin has gone missing on the field, the detent is no longer holding it in place, or the receivers have started to wobble because of a worn pin, a replacement set gets the gun back into proper shape without a trip to a workshop.
Why body pins matter
Well-fitting body pins keep the upper and lower receivers tightly aligned. That matters for more than looks: a sloppy fit can let the gearbox and hop-up unit shift slightly, which can affect feeding and consistency. A loose rear pin can also work its way out during a game, leaving the receivers able to open. Replacing worn or missing pins is a quick, low-cost repair.
Fitting
Our listing does not state whether the detent springs and plungers are included or how many pins are supplied, so please check the product images. To fit, line up the receivers, push the pin through from the left side and make sure it clicks into its detent position. Never hammer a pin home; if it is tight, check the alignment of the receivers first.

Care and maintenance
Each time you open the receivers, wipe the pins clean and check them for bending or burrs. A very light smear of oil or grease stops them sticking, but wipe off any excess so it does not attract grit. If a pin no longer clicks positively into place, check the detent spring and plunger in the lower receiver.
