Description
A&K MOD1 Wired Set
This is an A&K wired set listed for the MOD1, a replacement set of wiring for the electrical side of the rifle. In an electric rifle the wiring carries current from the battery to the motor via the trigger switch, so worn, burnt or damaged wires are a common cause of a rifle that will not fire, fires weakly or cuts out.
A&K is a long-established airsoft manufacturer known for support weapons and military-style rifles. Using a set designed for the rifle, rather than making up wiring from scratch, saves time and helps make sure the wires are the right length and routed the way the rifle expects. Our listing names the part for A&K’s “MOD1” platform but does not say which A&K rifle that is, and we could not confirm it from published sources. Please compare the part with the images and with your own rifle before ordering, or contact us with your rifle’s model and we will check for you.
When to replace the wiring
Signs that the wiring needs attention include a rifle that only fires intermittently, a burning smell, warm or discoloured wires, cracked insulation or connectors that have melted or worked loose. Upgrading to a stronger spring, a faster motor or a LiPo battery also puts more demand on the wiring, and fresh wiring is often part of a rebuild.
Replacing the wiring also gives you the chance to inspect the trigger contacts and motor terminals, which can show wear at the same time.
Fitting
Fitting a wired set usually means opening the gearbox or at least accessing the trigger assembly and motor. Note how the original wires are routed before removing them, and take photographs if it helps. Make sure no wire is pinched between the gearbox shell halves, the receiver or the stock, as a trapped wire can short out.
Gearbox work involves a compressed spring and many small parts. If you are not confident, have the work done by an experienced airsoft technician, and always remove the battery and magazine first.
Key features
- Replacement wiring set from A&K
- Listed for the A&K MOD1
- Restores reliable current flow from battery to motor
- Useful in repairs and rebuilds
- Helps when upgrading motors, springs or batteries
Compatibility
Listed for the A&K MOD1. Wiring layouts differ between rifles and between front-wired and rear-wired setups, so check the images against your own rifle and confirm the connector type before ordering. If you use a different battery connector, you may need to fit a matching plug.
Care and maintenance
Check the wiring and connectors whenever the rifle is apart, and replace any wire with damaged insulation. Use a battery suited to your setup, and disconnect it after every game day.
Keep the battery compartment dry, and never store the rifle with the battery connected.
Who is it for?
A&K MOD1 owners and technicians repairing electrical faults or rewiring the rifle as part of an upgrade.
Please note: Rifle, battery and tools are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when testing airsoft replicas.
