Amoeba by Ares Mutant AMM13 EFCS AEG (Tan – AM-M-004-DE)
This is the tan version (AM-M-004-DE) of the Mutant AMM13, the rifle-length model in Ares’ Amoeba Mutant series; the black version is listed separately as AM-M-004-BK. The Mutant range pairs sculpted, lightweight polymer receivers with Ares’ electronically controlled gearbox and a modular front end, giving a modern-looking rifle that is light to carry and easy to adapt to different sites.
Ares is known for its electronic gearbox technology, and Amoeba is its range of lighter, more accessible rifles. The tan finish suits desert, coyote and multicam loadouts and makes the AMM13’s futuristic shape stand out even more. It is a good choice for players who want something different from a standard M4 while keeping access to common magazines.
Compatibility
Accepts Ares and Amoeba M4 AEG magazines and standard M4 AEG magazines. Use a 7.4V to 11.1V LiPo battery, checking the battery space and connector before you buy. Front-end assemblies and the EFCS programmer are Ares/Amoeba parts, so contact us for advice if you want to reconfigure the rifle.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery after every game and store LiPo batteries at storage charge in a fire-safe bag. Use seamless, good quality BBs, and run a cleaning rod with a dry patch through the inner barrel if accuracy falls off. Keep the electronics dry, and let the gun dry fully if it gets wet. A soft brush and damp cloth will keep the tan finish looking smart.
