Ares Amoeba M4 AEG CCC Tactical (Blue)
The Ares Amoeba M4 CCC Tactical is the compact member of the Amoeba family, a short, light M4-style AEG with an aluminium outer barrel and silencer, a CNC aluminium railed handguard and Ares’ Electronic Firing Control System. This version is finished in blue.
With a length of 330mm to 560mm depending on the stock position and a weight of around 1800g, the CCC is built for close quarters combat. It is quick to bring to bear, easy to handle in tight spaces and, thanks to its EFCS gearbox, crisp and responsive on the trigger.
Electronic Firing Control System
Ares built the EFCS into the gearbox at the factory. In effect it is a MOSFET inside the gearbox that manages the trigger and protects the internals. If the gearbox locks up, the protection system cuts power and warns you; reconnecting the battery resets it. A gear sensor stops the gears so the piston rests forward, reducing spring stress and saving battery power, and the electronic trigger has a short, adjustable stroke of around 2mm for fast semi-auto shooting.
Fire modes are Safe, Semi and Full Auto. Using the Ares electronic programmer (sold separately) you can change the fire mode sequence across several settings and set LiPo battery protection.
Build and handling
The upper and lower receivers are nylon fibre with a top Picatinny rail, and the CNC aluminium handguard has two Picatinny rails and two hand stops. The aluminium outer barrel is fitted with a silencer, which gives the short gun a purposeful look. A nylon fibre extendable stock means you can collapse it right down for room clearing or extend it for a steadier hold.
Because it is so light, the CCC is very comfortable for long games and easy to swap between shoulders when shooting around cover. It is a natural fit for a single-point sling.
Performance
A 6.03mm brass inner barrel and adjustable hop-up provide consistent shooting, and the high torque flat motor gives a snappy trigger response. The quick spring release system makes it straightforward to change the main spring to suit different site limits. The gun runs on batteries from 7.4v to 11.1v.

Compatibility
The CCC takes Ares Amoeba M4 magazines, and many standard M4 AEG magazines will also fit, though it is worth checking a spare before a game. Its rails take standard Picatinny accessories such as compact red dots, torches and grips. Use a 7.4v to 11.1v battery, and check the battery space before buying a large pack, as compact guns have limited room.
Care and maintenance
Unplug the battery when not playing and store it separately. Clean the inner barrel periodically and use clean, seamless BBs. If the protection system cuts power, clear any jam before reconnecting. Keep the silencer and barrel free of dirt and moisture, and store the gun somewhere dry.
