Performance and internals
At the heart of the AM-007 is Ares’s EFCS (Electronic Firing Control System) gearbox. EFCS replaces traditional mechanical trigger contacts with electronics and builds a MOSFET into the gearbox. It includes a protection system that cuts power if the mechanism locks up, a gear sensor that stops the piston in the forward position so the spring is not left compressed, and an electronic trigger for a fast, crisp response. Compatibility
Amoeba M4 rifles take Amoeba M4 magazines, and many standard M4-pattern AEG magazines will also fit; try a magazine in the rifle before buying in quantity. The EFCS gearbox is Ares’s own design, so internal parts are not always interchangeable with standard Version 2 gearboxes; please check before ordering upgrades.
EFCS works well with LiPo batteries; check the battery space and connector before buying. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs; 0.20g to 0.25g are a good starting point.
Care and maintenance
Always remove the battery from the gun when you have finished playing, and store batteries according to their type: LiPo batteries should be kept at storage charge in a LiPo-safe bag, and never left charging unattended. After use, wipe the gun down, run a cleaning rod with a clean patch through the inner barrel occasionally, and keep the hop-up area free of dirt.
Fire the gun on semi-auto a few times at the end of the day to release tension on the main spring, and use good quality seamless 6mm BBs to protect the barrel, hop-up rubber and gearbox. If the gun is stored for a while, keep it somewhere dry at room temperature.
