Ares Amoeba Pro (Octarms) M4 AEG 7″ with EFCS Unit (Full Metal – Black – M4-KM7-BK)
The Ares Amoeba Pro M4 KM7 is a compact, modern M4-style AEG fitted with a 7-inch Octarms KeyMod handguard and Ares’ electronic fire control system, or EFCS. It belongs to the Amoeba Pro line, which brings together Ares’ advanced gearbox electronics and Octarms-designed furniture in a rifle that is light, short and quick to handle.
The short 7-inch front end makes the KM7 a natural choice for CQB, vehicle and indoor games, while the electronic trigger and programmable fire modes give experienced players a level of control usually found only on far more expensive rifles.
Electronic fire control
At the heart of the KM7 is Ares’ EFCS metal gearbox, a proven Ares design. Rather than mechanical trigger contacts, it uses electronic control for a crisp, fast trigger response and less wear over time. The rifle is fitted with a blade-style trigger that suits the quick response.
With the separately sold Ares gearbox programmer, you can choose between four selector setups: safe, semi and auto; safe, semi and three-round burst; safe, burst and auto; or safe, semi and semi. That last option is especially useful at sites with semi-only rules indoors. A quick-change spring lets you adjust power for different sites without stripping the gearbox.
Front end and barrel
The 180mm CNC aluminium Octarms KeyMod handguard is secured with six bolts and has KeyMod slots on both sides and underneath, so you can add short rail sections exactly where you want them for a torch, grip or laser. A 180mm metal outer barrel carries a 55mm flash hider, and inside is a 6.03mm copper inner barrel.
A dummy gas block and gas tube sit under the handguard for a realistic look.
Handling and furniture
The five-position retractable stock is nylon-fibre reinforced polymer with a rubber butt pad, and the nylon fibre pistol grip has an anti-slip surface. Polymer flip-up front and rear sights fold away when you fit an optic, and the top rail takes standard red dots and holographic sights.
A QD rear sling point and lockable body pins add practical touches that make the rifle more robust and easier to carry.

Compatibility
The KM7 is an AR-pattern AEG, so it accepts Ares Amoeba magazines and many standard M4 AEG magazines; test spares before relying on them in a game. KeyMod rail sections let you add 20mm accessories, and the top rail accepts standard optics.
Fire mode programming requires the Ares gearbox programmer (ARES-E-GB-P01), sold separately. A LiPo battery is generally recommended for the best response from an electronic trigger; check the battery space before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery whenever the rifle is not in use, and store it separately at a sensible storage charge. Never leave a battery plugged in overnight or in a hot vehicle, and only charge with a charger suited to the battery chemistry.
Run a cleaning rod with a soft patch through the inner barrel every few games, or whenever accuracy drops, to clear dirt and BB residue. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as cheap or damaged BBs are the most common cause of jams and hop-up wear.
Keep the outside of the gun dry and wipe off mud and moisture after a game. Store it in a padded bag or case away from damp, and have a qualified technician look at the gearbox if you notice changes in sound, rate of fire or trigger response.
