Description
Ares x Kel-Tec RDB – EFCS Unit with Wiring
This is a replacement EFCS unit, supplied with wiring, for the Ares x Kel-Tec RDB electric bullpup rifle. EFCS (Electronic Firing Control System) is Ares’s electronic trigger system, which manages how the gun fires in place of a conventional mechanical trigger switch.
It is the part to choose if the original unit in your RDB has been damaged or has failed, or if you are rebuilding an RDB and need a replacement control unit and wiring together.
What the EFCS does
In an Ares EFCS gun, the trigger signals an electronic control board rather than pushing two metal contacts together. The board then switches the motor. This removes the main wear point in a traditional AEG trigger and helps keep the trigger response consistent. Replacing a faulty unit restores normal operation of the rifle’s firing system.
Fitting
Installing the unit requires partial disassembly of the RDB, followed by careful routing of the wiring so it is not pinched when the rifle is reassembled. If you are not confident working on AEG internals, have a qualified technician fit it. Take photographs as you dismantle the rifle so you can refer back to them when putting it back together.
Key features
- Replacement Ares EFCS electronic control unit
- Supplied with wiring
- Made for the Ares x Kel-Tec RDB
- Restores the rifle’s electronic firing system
- Useful spare for RDB rebuilds
Compatibility
This unit is listed for the Ares x Kel-Tec RDB. Ares uses EFCS units in several rifles, and the units and wiring differ between models, so check your rifle is the RDB before ordering. If your RDB has been modified, confirm the configuration before buying.
Care and maintenance
Always disconnect the battery before working on the rifle. Handle the board by its edges, keep it clean and dry, and avoid bending the wiring sharply. When reassembling, make sure no wires are trapped between parts. After installation, test the rifle carefully in a safe area before taking it to a game.
Who is it for?
For RDB owners and technicians who need a genuine replacement EFCS control unit and wiring to repair or rebuild the rifle.
Please note: the rifle is not included. Fitting requires partial disassembly; if in doubt, have a technician install it.
