Armorer Works Custom HX Series Gas Route Rubber for Magazines (AW-P05000)
This is a replacement gas route rubber for Armorer Works HX series pistol magazines, part code AW-P05000. The gas route rubber is the small seal at the top of the magazine where gas passes from the magazine’s outlet valve into the pistol.
It is a tiny part, but if it is worn, split or missing, gas escapes at that joint instead of driving the slide and the BB. The usual symptoms are weak blowback, lower power, inconsistent shots and gas hissing at the top of the magazine as you fire. Replacing the rubber is a quick, cheap fix that can bring a tired magazine back to life.
How it works
When you pull the trigger on a gas blowback pistol, the valve knocker strikes the magazine’s outlet valve and releases a burst of gas. That gas has to travel into the pistol’s nozzle without leaking. The gas route rubber seals this connection, so all the gas is used to fire the BB and cycle the slide.
Fitting
Empty the magazine of all gas before you start. Remove the old rubber with a non-metallic pick so you do not scratch the seat, clean the area, and press the new rubber into place so it sits flush and square. A tiny amount of silicone oil helps it seat and seal. Then gas the magazine and test for leaks.

Compatibility
Made for Armorer Works HX series magazines. Many Hi-Capa type magazines use similar parts, but fit is not guaranteed across brands, so compare with your existing seal and the product photos before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Apply a drop of silicone oil to the magazine seals every few games, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay supple. Do not overfill magazines, and avoid petroleum-based lubricants that can swell or damage rubber.
