Description
Armorer Works HX Magazine Gas Router (HXAP 12)
This is a replacement gas router for Armorer Works HX series gas pistol magazines, part code HXAP 12. The gas router is the small part at the top of the magazine that directs gas from the magazine’s valve into the pistol, so it plays a direct role in how well each shot is powered.
Armorer Works (AW Custom) is well known for its HX range of Hi-Capa style gas blowback pistols. Keeping a spare router means a magazine that has started leaking or misfeeding can be put back into service rather than replaced.
What it does
When the hammer strikes the magazine’s release valve, gas passes through the router and up into the pistol’s nozzle. A damaged, worn or poorly seated router can let gas escape before it reaches the BB, which shows up as weak shots, inconsistent power or sluggish blowback.
Replacing a tired router is a common and inexpensive fix for these symptoms, especially on magazines that have seen a lot of use or have been dropped on the lip.
Fitting
Routers are usually held at the top of the magazine by a pin or screw. Empty the magazine of gas completely before starting, note the orientation of the old part, and fit the new router the same way round. Check that any seals are seated properly before refilling, then test for leaks.

Care and maintenance
Always fully vent a magazine before working on it. A drop of silicone oil on the magazine’s seals every few games keeps them supple and helps prevent leaks; avoid petroleum-based oils, which damage rubber seals.
Do not overfill magazines, and store them with a small amount of gas inside to keep the seals seated. Keep the top of the magazine clean, as grit around the router and feed lips causes leaks and feeding problems.
Who is it for?
For owners of Armorer Works HX series pistols who want to repair a leaking or under-performing magazine, and for anyone who likes to keep spare parts in their kit.
Please note: This listing is for the gas router only; the magazine is not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when testing a gas magazine.
