Army Armaments JW3 Hi-Capa Magazine Lips
These are replacement magazine lips (feed lips) for Army Armament JW3 Hi-Capa magazines. Army Armament makes the JW3 Combat Master, a Hi-Capa style gas blowback pistol produced under licence from Taran Tactical Innovations, and its magazines use replaceable polymer feed lips at the top where the BBs are held ready for loading.
The feed lips control how each BB is presented to the pistol. If they become worn, chipped or damaged, the magazine can misfeed, double-feed or leak BBs, so replacing them is a simple way to restore reliable feeding.
Signs your lips need replacing
Look out for BBs spilling from the top of a loaded magazine, misfeeds, or visible cracks and wear at the top of the magazine. Lips can be damaged by drops, by forcing BBs in during loading, or simply through long use.
Fitting
Make sure the magazine is empty of both BBs and gas before starting. Remove the old lips and fit the new ones following the method for your magazine, making sure they are fully seated. Test the magazine with a few BBs before refilling with gas and using it in a game.
