Description
Battleaxe Airsoft G36 Series Tappet Plate
This is a replacement tappet plate from Battleaxe for G36 series AEGs. The tappet plate is a small but busy part inside the gearbox: on every shot it moves the air nozzle back to let a BB drop into the hop-up chamber, then forward to seal the BB in place before the piston fires. If it is worn, cracked or broken, the rifle can misfeed, double-feed, lose power or stop feeding altogether.
Tappet plates are one of the parts most often replaced during a gearbox service, and they are inexpensive, so keeping a spare on the bench for your G36 is sensible. Battleaxe produces a wide range of replacement and upgrade parts for common AEG platforms.
How it works
The tappet plate sits alongside the cylinder in the gearbox and is moved by the sector gear. As the sector gear turns, it pulls the tappet plate back, drawing the nozzle away from the hop-up chamber so a BB can feed. A return spring then pushes the plate and nozzle forward, chambering the BB and forming an air seal. If the plate flexes or breaks, or its catch is worn, the nozzle does not travel correctly and feeding suffers.
Signs you need a new one
Common symptoms include BBs not feeding even though the magazine is full, two BBs feeding at once, inconsistent range, or a noticeable drop in power. A cracked or chipped tappet plate is easy to spot once the gearbox is open, and it is worth checking the nozzle and tappet return spring at the same time.

Compatibility
Listed for G36 series AEGs. Gearbox parts can vary between manufacturers, so check your rifle’s make and gearbox type, and compare the new plate with your old one before fitting. Make sure your nozzle and tappet return spring suit the plate.
Care and maintenance
Fitting means opening the gearbox, so if you are new to this work, ask a technician. When fitting, lightly lubricate the contact points with a suitable gearbox grease, check the plate moves freely without binding, and confirm the nozzle returns fully forward before closing the shell. Avoid getting grease inside the nozzle or hop-up chamber.
Who is it for?
For G36 owners and technicians who need to fix feeding faults or want a spare tappet plate for routine gearbox servicing.
Please note: gearbox disassembly is required. Check your gearbox model before ordering.
