Using 18650 cells
Check the battery compartment of your device before buying. 18650 cells are a standard diameter and length, but some devices need button-top cells while others need flat-top cells, and some will only accept cells of a certain length. Your device’s manual will normally state what it takes.
Always fit the cells the right way round, matching the positive and negative markings in the device, and when a device takes several cells, use cells from the same pack at the same state of charge rather than mixing old and new batteries.
Charging
Charge these cells only in a charger designed for 18650 rechargeable batteries, or in a device that is designed to charge them internally. Do not try to charge them in a charger made for AA or AAA batteries unless it is specifically rated for 18650 cells.
Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface, away from anything that could catch fire, and do not leave batteries charging unattended or overnight. Remove them from the charger once they are full.

Care and maintenance
Store the batteries in a cool, dry place, ideally partly charged if you will not use them for a while, and keep them in a plastic battery case so the terminals cannot touch keys, coins or other metal objects in a bag or pocket.
Inspect the wrapping of each cell regularly. If the outer sleeve is torn, the cell is dented, swollen, hot or leaking, stop using it and dispose of it safely at a battery recycling point. Never put batteries in household waste or into a fire.
