How balance charging works
A LiPo battery is made up of individual cells: two in a 7.4V (2S) pack and three in an 11.1V (3S) pack. A balance charger connects to the battery’s small balance lead, the thin lead with several wires, and charges each cell to the same voltage. That avoids one cell being over-charged while another is under-charged, which protects both the battery and the user and helps the battery last longer.
B3-style compact chargers charge through the balance lead, so the battery’s main connector type, whether mini Tamiya or Deans, does not matter for charging.
Using it
Plug the charger into the mains, then connect the battery’s balance lead to the port that matches its cell count. The indicator lights show when charging is under way and when the battery is full. Disconnect the battery once it is charged rather than leaving it connected indefinitely, and unplug the charger when you have finished.

Keep the charger dry and away from heat, unplug it when not in use and check the leads and plug regularly for damage. Store LiPo batteries at storage voltage when they will not be used for a while.
