Description
Big Foot Heat LiPo Alarm (2-3S)
The Big Foot Heat LiPo alarm is a small low-voltage warning device for 2S and 3S lithium polymer batteries. It plugs into the battery’s balance lead and sounds an alarm when the voltage drops low, warning you to stop using the battery before it is over-discharged.
Over-discharging is one of the most common ways airsoft players damage LiPo batteries. An alarm like this is an inexpensive way to protect your packs, and is especially useful in guns without a MOSFET that has low-voltage protection built in. It covers the 7.4V (2S) and 11.1V (3S) batteries used in most AEGs.
How it works
Connect the alarm to the balance lead of your battery, then use the battery as normal. The alarm monitors the battery voltage and sounds when it falls low. Check the product images and any instructions supplied for how this unit indicates readings and whether its warning level is adjustable.
Where the battery sits in a stock or handguard, route the alarm so it stays connected and can still be heard; many players tuck it alongside the battery.
Why use one
A LiPo that is run too low can lose capacity, become unbalanced or be permanently damaged. Hearing a warning before that happens means you can swap to a fresh battery and recharge the used one, keeping your batteries healthy for longer.
Key features
- Low-voltage alarm for LiPo batteries
- For 2S (7.4V) and 3S (11.1V) packs
- Connects via the balance lead
- Audible warning when voltage drops
- Helps prevent over-discharge
- Small and light
Compatibility
Designed for 2S and 3S LiPo batteries with a standard balance lead. Check the balance plug on your battery matches the alarm, and check there is room alongside the battery in your replica if you plan to use it during games.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect the alarm from the battery when not in use, as leaving it connected will slowly drain the pack. Keep it dry and store it where the pins cannot be bent. Always connect the balance lead the correct way round.
Who is it for?
LiPo users who want a simple, inexpensive warning against over-discharge, especially in replicas without built-in low-voltage protection.
Please note: Batteries are not included. Always charge LiPos with a suitable balance charger.
