Description
Big Foot Heat Voltage Display Meter (1-6S)
The Big Foot Heat voltage display meter is a compact battery checker for lithium polymer batteries from 1S to 6S. Plugged into a battery’s balance lead, it shows the voltage of the pack, so you can see at a glance whether a battery is charged, needs charging or is sitting at the right voltage for storage.
A meter like this is one of the cheapest and most useful bits of kit for any airsoft player who runs LiPo batteries. Instead of guessing how much charge is left before a game, you can check each pack in seconds in the safe zone, and spot a battery with an unbalanced cell before it causes problems.
How it works
Connect the meter to the battery’s balance lead, the small multi-wire plug that is separate from the main power connector. The display then shows the voltage information for the pack. Check the product images and any instructions supplied for how the readings are shown on this unit.
Because it covers 1S to 6S, the same meter works with the 7.4V (2S) and 11.1V (3S) LiPos used in most AEGs, as well as larger packs used in other hobbies.
Why it is worth having
LiPo batteries last longest and stay safest when they are not over-discharged, over-charged or stored fully charged for long periods. A voltage meter lets you check packs before and after a game, confirm they are at storage voltage before putting them away, and notice if one cell is reading noticeably different from the others, which is a sign the pack needs attention.
Key features
- Voltage meter for LiPo batteries
- Covers 1S to 6S packs
- Connects via the balance lead
- Quick check before and after games
- Helps spot unbalanced cells
- Compact enough for a kit bag
Compatibility
Designed for LiPo batteries from 1S to 6S with a standard balance lead. Most airsoft LiPos are 2S (7.4V) or 3S (11.1V) and fall within this range. Check the balance plug on your battery matches the meter before use.
Care and maintenance
Keep the meter dry and away from heat, and unplug it from the battery after taking a reading so it does not slowly drain the pack. Store it in a pouch or box so the pins are not bent. Always connect the balance lead the correct way round, as shown on the meter.
Who is it for?
Any airsoft player using LiPo batteries who wants a simple way to check charge level and storage voltage, and to keep an eye on battery health.
Please note: Batteries are not included. A voltage meter is not a charger; always charge LiPos with a suitable balance charger.
