Carbine kits are a popular way to get more out of a pistol you already own. A pistol on its own is held at arm’s length with two hands, while a carbine kit gives extra points of contact and a place to mount a red dot or torch, which makes it easier to shoot steadily. Black matches the majority of 17/18/19-style pistols and gives a clean, uniform look.
Why fit a carbine kit
For CQB and pistol-only games, a carbine-converted pistol is light and compact but much easier to aim than a bare pistol. It is also a cost-effective way to try a small carbine setup without buying a separate rifle.

Care and maintenance
Remove the pistol after a game and clean both separately. Wipe the kit down with a damp cloth to remove dirt and let it dry before refitting. Check that any screws or locking points remain tight, and store the kit away from direct heat, which can distort polymer parts.
