Description

Big Foot x3300 Pro-Chronograph (Black)

The Big Foot x3300 Pro-Chronograph is a black chronograph for measuring the muzzle velocity of airsoft replicas. A chronograph, or chrono, tells you how fast your BBs leave the barrel, which is essential for checking that your replica is within your site’s power limits and for tuning upgrades.

Every airsoft site chronographs replicas before play, and owning your own chrono means you can check your kit at home after a spring change, a new barrel or a gas swap, rather than discovering a problem at the safe zone. Check the product photos and instructions for the exact display, mounting method, power source and supported measurements.

How a chronograph works

A chronograph measures the time a BB takes to pass between two sensors a fixed distance apart, and uses that to calculate velocity. Most airsoft chronographs show the result in feet per second, and many can also calculate energy when you enter the BB weight; check this unit’s instructions for the readings it provides.

Many players also use a chrono to check rate of fire and consistency, by firing a string of shots and looking at how much the readings vary. Wide variation often points to air-seal, hop-up or magazine problems.

Getting accurate readings

Fit and align the chrono exactly as the instructions describe, so the BB passes cleanly through the sensors. Use the same BB weight your site uses for chronographing, set your hop-up as you would for play, and take several readings rather than relying on one.

Bright sunlight and some indoor lighting can affect optical sensors; if readings look odd, try shading the unit or moving to different light.

Key features

  • Airsoft chronograph
  • Measures BB muzzle velocity
  • Check your replica against site limits at home
  • Useful for tuning upgrades and diagnosing problems
  • Black finish
  • Big Foot x3300 Pro model

Compatibility

For use with airsoft replicas firing 6mm BBs. Check the instructions for the mounting method and the power source required. Always use the same BB weight as your site when comparing readings, as site chronographs remain the final word.

Care and maintenance

Keep the sensors clean and free of dust with a soft brush, and never shoot the body of the unit. Remove batteries if it will be stored for a long time, and keep it in a dry place.

Store it in a box or padded pouch so the sensor tube is not knocked or bent, and check alignment before each use.

Who is it for?

Players who upgrade or tune their own replicas, technicians, team leaders checking kit before events, and anyone who wants to check their replica is within site limits before they travel.

Please note: Power source and supported readings are not listed; please check the instructions and packaging. Always wear eye protection when test-firing a replica.
