Description

Big Foot Zero Steel Mesh Goggles (Small) (Round Orifice) (Black)

These Big Foot Zero goggles in black use a steel mesh with round holes in place of a plastic lens, so they cannot fog up, however hard you are working or however damp the weather. The Small size has a more compact frame, which suits smaller faces and younger players and sits neatly with lower-face masks.

Mesh goggles are an affordable, simple answer to fogging, one of the most common complaints in airsoft. The black frame goes with any loadout, from CQB to woodland. The Zero mesh goggles are listed in Small and Big sizes and several colours.

Design

The lens is a steel mesh with round openings, held in a moulded goggle frame that wraps around the eye area to help keep BBs out from the sides. A strap holds the goggles in place; check the photos for the strap and adjustment.

Looking through mesh takes a little getting used to: the view is slightly darker than through a clear lens, and in low light or at night it can be harder to pick out detail. Most players adjust within a game or two.

Mesh eye protection and site rules

Mesh gives good resistance to direct BB hits, but small fragments of a shattered BB can pass through mesh openings. For this reason some sites do not allow mesh eye protection, or only allow it in certain conditions. Always check your site’s rules before relying on mesh goggles as your main eye protection.

Key features

  • Steel mesh goggles in black
  • Round-hole mesh lens
  • Fog-free in heat and humidity
  • Small size for smaller faces
  • Wraparound goggle shape helps protect from the sides
  • Pairs well with lower-face masks
  • Also listed in other sizes and colours

Compatibility

Designed to be worn on their own and with most lower-face masks, caps and helmets. They may not fit over prescription glasses; try them first if you wear glasses. If you have a larger face, or want a wider view, the Big size may suit you better. Check your site’s rules on mesh eye protection before playing.

Care and maintenance

Brush dust and mud from the mesh with a soft brush after each game and wipe the frame with a damp cloth. Let the goggles dry fully before storing them to avoid rust on the mesh.

Inspect the mesh before every game and replace the goggles if it is dented, damaged or coming away from the frame. Check the strap for stretch or wear.

Who is it for?

Players with smaller faces who struggle with fogging, and anyone wanting low-cost spare eye protection that matches any kit, at a site that accepts mesh.

Please note: Mesh eye protection is not accepted at every site, as BB fragments can pass through mesh. Check your site’s rules, and always wear eye protection your site approves.
