Description
Classic Army CAG90 G3 AEG (Long – CAG90M)
The Classic Army CAG90 is an electric airsoft rifle modelled on the G3 battle rifle, here in its long, full-length configuration, model CAG90M. The G3 is one of the classic rifles of the Cold War era, adopted by many armies around the world, and its long barrel and solid, purposeful profile make it a natural fit for woodland players and anyone building a retro or European-themed loadout.
Classic Army has been producing AEGs since the 1990s and has a long history with the G3 family. A full-length G3 is a satisfying rifle to carry and shoot: it feels substantial, holds steady and has a distinctive look that stands apart from the sea of M4s on most sites.
Handling
The full-length layout gives the CAG90 a long sight radius and a steady hold, which helps with accurate shooting at longer ranges. The G3’s straight-line design makes it comfortable to shoulder, and the classic controls are simple to learn. It is at its best in woodland and open sites, where its length is an advantage rather than a hindrance.
Building a loadout around it
A G3 is a natural centrepiece for a Cold War, 1980s or European-themed loadout, and it also suits players who want a designated marksman-style rifle with a classic look. Add a sling and, if you like, a suitable scope mount and optic to extend its reach.
Performance
As an electric rifle, the CAG90 runs from a rechargeable battery, so there is no gas to buy and performance stays consistent in all weather. Read the manual supplied with the rifle for details on battery fitting and hop-up adjustment before your first game.
Key features
- G3-style battle rifle
- Long, full-length configuration
- Electric (AEG) operation
- Classic Army build
- Steady hold and long sight radius
- Great for woodland and themed games
Compatibility
The CAG90 uses G3-pattern AEG magazines; choose spares made for Classic Army G3 rifles or confirmed compatible with them. Battery size and connector depend on the rifle’s set-up, so check the manual or contact us before buying a battery. Optics need a G3-compatible scope mount.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery after every game and never store the rifle with the battery connected. Charge batteries with a suitable charger, never leave them unattended while charging, and store LiPo batteries part-charged in a LiPo-safe bag, away from heat.
Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a soft cloth whenever accuracy starts to drift, and use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as cheap or damaged BBs are the most common cause of jams and hop-up wear. Wipe the outside of the rifle down after wet or muddy games and let it dry fully before putting it in a bag. If the rifle starts to sound or feel different, stop and have it checked rather than continuing to fire it.
Who is it for?
The CAG90 is for woodland players who want a long, steady rifle, fans of classic Cold War designs, and anyone building a retro or European-themed loadout around one of the great battle rifles.
Please note: A battery and charger are not included unless stated. Always wear suitable eye and face protection and check the power limits at your site before play.
