Description
Cybergun PT92 Co2 Fixed Slide NBB Pistol (Black – Cybergun – 210308)
The Cybergun PT92 is a CO2 powered airsoft pistol modelled on the full-size PT92 service pistol, here in black with a fixed slide (product code 210308). The PT92 shape, with its open-top slide, smooth curves and generous grip, is instantly familiar, and it makes a comfortable, easy-pointing sidearm.
Because this is a non-blowback (NBB) pistol, the slide stays put when you fire. All of the gas goes into propelling the BB rather than cycling a slide, which makes NBB pistols economical, simple to look after and well suited to plinking and target shooting as well as skirmishing.
CO2 power
CO2 gives strong, consistent pressure and copes with cooler temperatures better than green gas, which is a real advantage in the British climate. The fixed slide design also means the pistol is less sensitive to temperature than blowback models, as no energy is spent moving the slide.
Fitting a fresh capsule is straightforward and quick, and as long as the seals are kept in good condition the pistol will hold its charge between strings of shots.
Handling and use
The full-size PT92 grip suits most hands, and the length of the pistol gives a decent sight picture. With no recoil from a moving slide, it is easy to keep the sights on target for follow-up shots, which makes it a good teaching pistol and a relaxed back-garden target shooter.
On the field it serves well as a backup sidearm for players carrying a spring rifle or a primary that might run dry. Its simple, robust design means there is little to go wrong.
Getting started
Before inserting a capsule, put a drop of silicone oil on the tip of the CO2 capsule to protect the piercing seal. Load BBs into the magazine, fit the capsule as described in the instructions supplied with the pistol, then fire a few test shots into a safe backstop to check grouping. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and the safety applied when not shooting.
Training value
Because the slide does not move, the PT92 is a good pistol for practising sight alignment and a smooth trigger squeeze, and it lets newer shooters concentrate on fundamentals without the distraction of recoil. It is also a sensible choice for supervised target sessions in the garden.
Key features
- CO2 powered pistol
- Fixed slide, non-blowback design
- Full-size PT92 styling
- Black finish
- Economical on gas
- Copes well with cooler weather
- Easy to maintain
- Simple, robust design
Compatibility
The pistol uses CO2 capsules and standard 6mm airsoft BBs. Spare magazines should be the matching Cybergun model for this pistol; check the code before ordering, as PT92 replicas from different makers often look similar but do not share magazines. Holsters made for full-size PT92/M9-pattern pistols are a good starting point, but check fit before relying on one in play.
Care and maintenance
Do not leave a pierced capsule in the pistol for long periods, as constant pressure wears the seals. Remove spent capsules promptly and add a drop of silicone oil to each new capsule tip, or use a lubricating maintenance capsule every so often.
Keep the pistol clean and dry, wipe it down after outdoor use and clean the inner barrel occasionally with a cleaning rod. Use clean, good-quality seamless BBs to protect the barrel and hop-up rubber.
Who is it for?
A practical choice for newer players wanting a dependable sidearm, plinkers and target shooters, and anyone who likes the classic PT92 look without the gas consumption of a blowback pistol.
Please note: CO2 capsules and BBs are not included. Always wear eye protection when shooting.
