Description
Cyma 18 Series Spring Action Pistol (Full Polymer – Heavy Weight – ZM17 – Blue)
The Cyma ZM17 is a spring-powered airsoft pistol from Cyma’s 18 Series, styled on the popular modern polymer-framed G-series pistol and finished here in blue. It is built with a full polymer body and has added weight, so it feels more substantial in the hand than a typical lightweight spring pistol. Being spring powered, it needs no gas and no batteries: you simply cock it before each shot.
Cyma is a long-established Chinese manufacturer known for making affordable replicas that are easy to own and maintain, and the ZM17 follows that approach. It is a straightforward, low-cost way into airsoft pistols, whether you want something for target practice in the garden, a first sidearm, or an inexpensive backup to keep in the kit bag. The blue finish makes it easy to spot on the bench or in a gear bag, and clearly marks it out as a replica.
How it works
A spring pistol stores its energy in a spring that you compress by hand. Pull the slide fully back to cock the pistol and chamber a BB, release it, then fire. Each pull of the trigger fires one shot, and you repeat the process for the next. There is no gas to run out and no battery to charge, so the pistol performs the same on a cold winter morning as on a hot summer afternoon, which is something gas pistols cannot always manage.
That one-shot-per-cock rhythm also makes the ZM17 a good training tool. It encourages you to take your time, settle your sight picture and squeeze the trigger smoothly, rather than firing quickly and hoping. Many experienced players keep a spring pistol for exactly this kind of practice.
Build and handling
The full polymer construction keeps the pistol tough and resistant to the knocks it will inevitably take, while the added weight gives it a steadier, more solid feel than lighter spring pistols. Polymer is also comfortable to hold in cold weather, as it does not chill the hand in the way bare metal can. The shape follows the familiar outline of the polymer pistol it is modelled on, so it will feel natural to anyone who has handled one of the many G-series style replicas.
Where it fits in
Spring pistols are ideal for plinking and target shooting at home, for younger or newer shooters learning safe handling under supervision, and for players who want a cheap backup that will always work. They are not designed to compete with gas blowback pistols for rate of fire, but they win on simplicity, running costs and reliability.

Compatibility
Uses standard 6mm airsoft BBs. Good-quality seamless 0.20g BBs are a sensible choice for a spring pistol of this type. Magazines, holsters and accessories designed for gas pistols or other models will not necessarily fit, so check compatibility with the ZM17 specifically before buying extras.
Care and maintenance
Spring pistols need very little looking after. Use clean, seamless BBs to avoid jams and wear, and never reuse BBs that have been on the ground. Run a cleaning rod through the barrel now and then to remove dust and residue. Do not store the pistol cocked, as this tires the spring over time. If the slide becomes stiff, a tiny amount of silicone oil on the moving surfaces is enough; avoid getting oil into the barrel.
Who is it for?
For newcomers, back-garden target shooters and players who want an inexpensive, no-fuss backup pistol that works every time without gas or batteries.
Please note: BBs are not included unless stated. Always wear suitable eye protection when using any airsoft replica, and make sure anyone nearby does the same.
