Description
Cyma M4 CM506 RIS CQB AEG (CYMA-CM506)
The Cyma CM506 is an M4A1-style electric airsoft rifle (AEG) in a compact CQB configuration, with a 10.5-inch outer barrel and a 20mm Picatinny RIS quad-rail handguard. It is a complete, practical rifle aimed at players who are starting out, combining a familiar M4 layout with dependable internals and low running costs.
Cyma is one of the largest airsoft manufacturers and is known for good-value AEGs with sturdy internals that are compatible with Tokyo Marui-pattern parts. That means the CM506 is easy to maintain and can be upgraded step by step as you gain experience.
Build and materials
The receiver, handguard, buffer tube, pistol grip and stock are made from high-density polymer, keeping the weight to around 1.7kg, while the outer barrel, gearbox shell, front sight assembly and footman loop are alloy. The short 10.5-inch outer barrel has a 14mm counter-clockwise male thread at the muzzle for a tracer unit or mock suppressor.
The quad-rail handguard has 20mm Picatinny rails at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions, and the receiver is railed too, giving plenty of room for optics, a torch, a laser or a fore grip. A removable ghost-ring rear sight and fixed triangular front post are fitted, along with a mock bayonet lug.
Performance and internals
Inside is a Version 2 alloy gearbox, rear wired, with an 18:1 steel gear set running on 8mm steel bushings, a type 1 cylinder and a reinforced polymer piston and piston head. The 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel is 260mm long, and the rotary hop-up is adjusted by pulling back the charging handle, so you can tune it to your BB weight in seconds; 0.25g BBs are a good match.
The internals follow the Tokyo Marui pattern, so spare and upgrade parts are easy to find. The fire selector offers safe, semi-automatic and full-automatic.
Handling
The stock is a crane-style design with sloped cheek rests and a rubber butt plate, sliding on a five-position buffer tube so you can set the length of pull to suit your build and kit. At 70cm collapsed and 78cm extended, the CM506 is compact enough for buildings and vehicles yet still practical in woodland. Sling points include a front footman loop, slots in the stock and a polymer CQD plate.

Compatibility
Accepts standard M4/AR-15 AEG magazines. The battery fits in the crane stock and connects with a mini-Tamiya plug: a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo or a 9.6V 1600mAh crane-style NiMH are suitable choices. Internals follow the Tokyo Marui pattern, so most V2 gearbox and M4 upgrade parts will fit.
The 14mm CCW muzzle thread accepts most airsoft tracer units and mock suppressors, and the 20mm rails take standard Picatinny/Weaver accessories.
Care and maintenance
Always remove the battery from the gun when you have finished playing, and store batteries according to their type: LiPo batteries should be kept at storage charge in a LiPo-safe bag, and never left charging unattended. After use, wipe the gun down, run a cleaning rod with a clean patch through the inner barrel occasionally, and keep the hop-up area free of dirt.
Fire the gun on semi-auto a few times at the end of the day to release tension on the main spring, and use good quality seamless 6mm BBs to protect the barrel, hop-up rubber and gearbox. If the gun is stored for a while, keep it somewhere dry at room temperature.
Who is it for?
The Cyma CM506 suits newer players who want a compact, good-value M4 for CQB and woodland, and anyone looking for an upgrade-friendly AEG with Tokyo Marui-compatible internals.
Please note: Always wear suitable eye and face protection and check the power limits and safety rules at your site before play.
