Description
Double Bell 98l Bolt – Gas Version (W-04)
This is a replacement bolt, part code W-04, for the gas-powered version of Double Bell’s 98 bolt action rifle, the company’s replica of the classic German Kar98k. The Double Bell Kar98k is a popular shell-ejecting replica: each round sits in its own shell, and working the bolt ejects the spent shell just like the real rifle, which makes it a favourite with WW2 reenactors and players who enjoy period games.
The bolt is at the heart of that experience, so if yours is worn, damaged or lost, the gun will not cycle as it should. This factory part restores the rifle to working order, and it is also a sensible spare for anyone who uses their Kar98k regularly.
Why the right version matters
Double Bell makes the 98 in more than one power type, and the internals differ between them. This bolt is specifically for the gas version, so make sure your rifle is the gas model before ordering. A bolt designed for a different version will not fit or work correctly.
About the rifle
The gas Double Bell Kar98k runs on green gas or top gas, feeds from shells loaded with BBs, and has an adjustable hop-up located under the rear leaf sight, adjusted with an Allen key. Working the bolt chambers each shell and ejects the empty one, so a smooth, well-fitting bolt makes a real difference to how the rifle feels to use.

Compatibility
Designed for the gas-powered Double Bell 98 Kar98k replica. It is not suitable for other power versions of the Double Bell 98, or for Kar98k replicas made by other brands. If you are not sure which version you own, check your manual or contact us with details before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Keep the bolt clean and lightly lubricated with silicone oil so it runs smoothly in the receiver. Do not force the bolt if it feels tight; check for a stuck shell or debris instead. Use only gas made for airsoft, put a drop of silicone oil on gas seals regularly, and keep shells clean so they chamber and eject cleanly. Store the rifle in a dry place with no gas or shells loaded.
Who is it for?
Owners of the gas Double Bell Kar98k who need to replace a worn or damaged bolt, or who want a spare to keep their rifle in service.
Please note: The rifle, shells and gas are not included. Fitting should be straightforward for anyone familiar with bolt action replicas; if in doubt, ask a technician.
