Description
Double Bell TTI M4 Scope Storm HP-R (HPA)
This is a Double Bell M4 in the style of the custom competition rifles made famous by Taran Tactical Innovations (TTI), listed as the Scope Storm HP-R version and powered by HPA. TTI-style M4s have become one of the most popular looks in airsoft, with race-inspired styling that looks fast even before you pull the trigger.
This version is listed with a scope and as an HPA (high pressure air) replica. HPA replicas run on regulated compressed air from a tank rather than a battery or gas magazines, which gives very consistent shots and is popular with players who want sharp trigger response and steady performance in any weather. It suits experienced players and anyone ready to take the step into HPA.
How HPA works
An HPA replica is supplied with air from a tank, through a regulator and an air line, to an engine inside the replica. The regulator controls the pressure reaching the engine, and that pressure, together with the engine set-up, sets the replica’s power and rate of fire. Because the air supply is regulated, shot-to-shot consistency is excellent and performance does not drop on a cold day as it can with gas.
HPA set-ups do need some supporting kit. You will need a suitable tank, a regulator and an air line, and the replica must be set up and chronographed to your site’s limits before play. If you are new to HPA, ask us or an experienced technician to help you set it up.
TTI-style design
Double Bell has made several TTI-style M4s, all taking their cue from race guns built for speed and control. Please check the product images to see the exact furniture, rail and stock of this version.
The listing names a scope as part of this package, so it is ready for longer-range shooting once it is zeroed. Mount it at a comfortable eye relief, zero it at a typical engagement distance for your site, and check the mounts are tight before each game.
Handling
The M4 layout means familiar controls and a wide choice of accessories. With the air line connected, take a moment to route it so that it does not snag on kit or vegetation, and practise shouldering the rifle with the line in place.
HPA replicas can feel very responsive on the trigger, so get to know the rifle on a range or at a safe backstop before your first game.
