Description
Double Bell XM177 M4 AEG (Full Metal – Black – 093)
The Double Bell XM177 is a full metal electric airsoft rifle in black, modelled on the classic short-barrelled carbine that served from the Vietnam era onwards, model code 093. Its compact length and unmistakable retro lines make it a favourite for both CQB and themed or historical games.
The XM177 was one of the earliest short carbines in the M16 family, and its slim profile and distinctive look remain popular with players who enjoy a vintage feel. Double Bell is a Chinese manufacturer known for good-value electric rifles that give newer players a solid, well-specified gun without a big outlay, while still offering plenty of scope for upgrades later on.
Build and materials
The full metal construction gives the XM177 a solid, durable feel, with very little flex when you are moving quickly or bracing against cover. The black finish is classic and suits almost any loadout, from period-correct Vietnam kit to modern gear.
Handling
The short carbine length keeps the XM177 light at the front and easy to manoeuvre, whether you are working through buildings or moving through woodland. The controls follow the familiar M16/M4 pattern, so it is quick to learn, and the classic layout points naturally.
Building a retro loadout
The XM177 is a natural centrepiece for a Vietnam-era or 1980s-style loadout. Pair it with period webbing and a simple sling for an authentic look, or keep it as a slim, handy carbine for everyday skirmishing. Because it shares so much with the M4/M16 platform, parts and accessories are easy to find.

Compatibility
As an M4-pattern AEG, this rifle is designed around standard M4 AEG magazines, and most mid-cap and hi-cap M4 AEG magazines will fit, although fit can vary slightly between brands, so test new magazines before a game. Optics, torches, grips and slings designed for M4 rifles can be fitted where the rifle has rail space. Battery size and connector depend on the rifle’s set-up, so check the manual or contact us before buying a battery.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery after every game and never store the rifle with the battery connected. Charge batteries with a suitable charger, never leave them unattended while charging, and store LiPo batteries part-charged in a LiPo-safe bag, away from heat.
Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a soft cloth whenever accuracy starts to drift, and use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as cheap or damaged BBs are the most common cause of jams and hop-up wear. Wipe the outside of the rifle down after wet or muddy games and let it dry fully before putting it in a bag. If the rifle starts to sound or feel different, stop and have it checked rather than continuing to fire it.
Who is it for?
The XM177 is for players who want a classic short carbine, whether for CQB, everyday skirmishing or a Vietnam-era themed loadout, and for anyone wanting a full metal carbine at a good price.
Please note: A battery and charger are not included unless stated. Always wear suitable eye and face protection and check the power limits at your site before play.
