Description
E&C AEG V2 Trigger Block Safety Lever for M4 / M16
This is a replacement trigger block safety lever from E&C for M4 and M16 pattern AEGs that use a version 2 (V2) gearbox. It is a small internal part, but an important one: it works with the fire selector so that the trigger is held back and cannot be pulled when the replica is set to safe.
Safety parts take a lot of repeated movement, and on older or heavily used rifles they can wear, crack or go missing during a gearbox rebuild. A worn safety lever can leave the selector feeling vague or let the trigger move on safe, so replacing it is a quick and inexpensive way to restore proper function. E&C is a well-known maker of M4 pattern AEGs and parts, and this lever is aimed at players and technicians who maintain their own V2 rifles.
How it works
In an M4 pattern V2 gearbox, the selector on the outside of the receiver turns a selector plate on the side of the gearbox. The trigger block safety lever sits between the selector mechanism and the trigger. When the selector is turned to safe, the lever moves into a position that blocks the trigger, and when it is turned to semi or auto it moves clear so the trigger can travel and close the contacts.
Because it sits right at the heart of the fire control, the lever needs to be the correct shape for your gearbox and selector parts. Please compare it with the part in your rifle and check the product images before fitting.
Fitting
Fitting this part means opening the gearbox, so it suits players who are comfortable doing their own gearbox work or who have a technician to help. Before you start, remove the battery and magazine, release any tension on the spring if your rifle has a quick-change spring system, and take photographs of the part positions as you go.
Once the new lever is fitted and the gearbox is closed, check the selector carefully through safe, semi and auto with no battery connected, making sure the trigger is properly blocked on safe, before you reconnect the battery and test-fire.

Compatibility
This lever is made for M4 / M16 pattern AEGs with a V2 gearbox. V2 gearbox parts are broadly shared between many brands, but safety levers, selector plates and trigger designs do vary, especially on rifles with electronic trigger units or MOSFET-based gearboxes.
Spare parts are often specific to one manufacturer, and sometimes to one production version, so please check your replica’s make and model, and compare this part with the one you are replacing, before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us with details of your replica and we will help.
Care and maintenance
If you are not confident working on your replica, have the part fitted by an experienced technician. Keep small screws and springs in a tray while you work, and test the replica’s function carefully with no BBs or gas loaded before using it in a game.
Apply a very light smear of grease to the pivot point of the lever when fitting, but do not over-lubricate, as excess grease attracts dirt inside the gearbox. Check the safe position each time you service the gearbox.
Who is it for?
This part is for players and airsoft technicians maintaining M4 / M16 pattern AEGs with V2 gearboxes, whether they are fixing a worn safety, replacing a lost part during a rebuild or keeping a spare in the toolbox.
Please note: This is a single internal part; no tools or instructions are listed as included. Fitting requires opening the gearbox.
