The Element DBAL MkII E is a replica of the DBAL-style combined laser and illuminator unit seen on modern carbines, finished in black. Functions and modes
A UK retailer’s listing for the Element DBAL-eMkII gives a white LED of about 90 lumens, a red visible laser listed at under 5mW, and an IR function with a spare IR lens. Six settings are listed: torch with IR laser, IR laser only, torch only, visible laser only, torch with visible laser, and off. A green status light shows whether the unit is on, which is helpful when using the IR setting because you cannot see it without night vision.
The same listing says the fire button switches functions on and off, and the remote pressure switch works in momentary mode by default, with a double-click switching it to constant. Because laser colours can differ between versions of DBAL-style units, check the product images and markings for the version supplied.
Build and mounting
The body is listed as ABS plastic with metal caps and rubber covers, measuring about 95 x 88 x 48mm and weighing about 195g with its battery. It has a built-in rail mount, and there is a slot on top for a compatible mini red dot sold separately. It is powered by one CR123A battery, which is not included.
Mount it towards the front of the top or side rail so the beam and laser clear the barrel and any suppressor, and route the pressure switch cable where your thumb falls naturally.

Compatibility
Designed for rail mounting on airsoft replicas such as M4 and similar carbines with a top or side rail. If you use a Keymod or M-LOK handguard, fit a short rail section first. The IR function is only visible through night vision equipment.
Care and maintenance
Remove the battery if you will not use the light for a while, as old batteries can leak and damage the contacts. Keep the lens clean with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe off mud and moisture after use, letting the unit dry before you store it.
Check the mount and any screws before each game, as knocks and movement can loosen them, and store the light somewhere it will not be crushed in your kit bag.
