This Emerson NVG lanyard is a retention cord designed for helmets fitted with an Ops Core VAS-style three-hole shroud. It links your night vision mount or device to the helmet, so if the device is knocked off the mount or the mount releases unexpectedly, it stays tethered to you instead of falling to the ground. This version is black.

How it works
One end of the lanyard attaches to the three-hole shroud area on the front of the helmet, and the other end clips or ties to your NVG mount or device. Why use one
Night vision devices and helmet cameras are expensive and easy to lose, especially when crawling, moving through woodland or vehicles, or in the dark. Care and maintenance
Check the cord and fittings before each game for fraying, cuts or worn clips, and replace the lanyard if it shows damage. Brush off mud and let it dry naturally if it gets wet.
Route the lanyard so it does not catch on branches or interfere with your goggles, headset or mount adjustment.
