The Galaxy Pro sniper scope is a 3-9×40 variable magnification riflescope, supplied with RIS mounts and finished in black. A 3-9×40 is one of the most popular general-purpose scope formats, giving enough magnification to spot and engage targets at range while still being usable at the lower setting in closer woodland.
This Galaxy Pro scope is an affordable way to equip a bolt-action rifle, DMR or AEG with magnified optics. Because the mounts are included, it is ready to fit to a rifle with a suitable rail.
Understanding 3-9×40
The first numbers give the magnification range: from 3x to 9x, adjustable with the zoom ring. The 40 is the diameter of the objective (front) lens in millimetres; a larger objective gathers more light, which helps in shaded woodland and at dusk. At 3x you get a wider field of view for finding targets, and at 9x you can pick out detail at longer ranges.
Using it in airsoft
In airsoft most engagements are within the effective range of a BB, so many players leave a scope at the lower end of its range for a wide view and zoom in only to identify a target or spot movement. Zero the scope at the distance you most often engage, with the BB weight you use, and remember that BB trajectories curve, so practise holding over at different ranges.

Compatibility
The included RIS mounts are made for 20mm RIS/Picatinny-style rails, which are fitted to most modern airsoft rifles. Older or spring rifles with an 11mm dovetail rail will need different rings. Check that your rail is long enough for the mount spacing and that the scope clears any rear sight before fitting.
Care and maintenance
Keep the lens caps on when the scope is not in use, and clean the lenses only with a soft lens cloth or lens pen; blow off grit first so it is not rubbed into the coatings. Avoid household glass cleaners.
After wet games, let the scope dry naturally at room temperature before storing it, and check the mount screws are snug before each game, as rings can work loose over time. Never look at the sun through any optic.
