Description
G&G Reinforced Cut Off Lever for Ver. III RK Gearbox (G-10-059)
This G&G reinforced cut-off lever (G-10-059) is a replacement gearbox part for G&G’s RK series, which uses a Version 3 gearbox. The cut-off lever is what lets the gearbox fire single shots on semi-auto, so a worn or broken one quickly shows up as runaway or unreliable semi-auto fire.
G&G Armament is one of the best-known airsoft makers, and its RK range of AK-pattern rifles is popular for its value and reliability. A reinforced cut-off lever is a sensible spare to have, particularly for players who use semi-auto heavily or run upgraded springs and motors.
What the cut-off lever does
In semi-auto, the sector gear pushes the cut-off lever up once per cycle. The lever then breaks the trigger contact so the gearbox stops after one shot until you release and pull the trigger again. When the lever wears, the gearbox can fire more than one shot per pull or fail to reset.
Fitting
Replacing the cut-off lever means opening the gearbox, so it should be done by someone experienced with Version 3 gearboxes. Check the fit and the movement of the lever and trigger assembly before closing the shell, and test fire on semi and auto afterwards.
