Description
Golden Eagle 7″ Keymod RIS AEG (AEG – Black)
The Golden Eagle 7 inch Keymod RIS AEG is a compact AR-style electric rifle with a short 7 inch Keymod handguard, finished in black. A short handguard keeps the rifle light at the front and quick to swing between targets, which makes it a natural choice for CQB and urban sites.
Golden Eagle is a well-known maker of affordable replicas, and its M4-pattern rifles give new players a dependable, familiar platform with a huge choice of compatible accessories. This compact version sits alongside Golden Eagle’s longer Keymod models, giving you the same modular approach in a handier package.
Keymod handguard
Keymod is a modular mounting system: instead of rails all the way round, the handguard has a series of keyhole slots, and you bolt on short rail sections or Keymod accessories exactly where you want them. That keeps the front end slim, light and comfortable to hold.
At 7 inches, the handguard has room for the essentials, such as a torch and a short grip or handstop, without adding bulk. A top rail runs along the rifle for your optic, where a red dot is the most popular choice on a compact rifle.
Compact handling
A short rifle is easy to manoeuvre through doorways, in and out of vehicles and around tight corners, and it is less tiring to carry for long periods. Smaller players often find compact rifles much more comfortable too.
Electric operation gives consistent performance in all weather and keeps running costs low.
Getting started
Before your first game, charge your battery fully on a suitable charger, fit it and check the rifle fires on safe, semi and auto as expected. Set the hop-up from zero, adding a little at a time until the BB holds a straight, flat line, and then check where it lands at the distances you usually shoot.
Your site will chronograph the rifle before play. Spend a few minutes learning how to change the battery and clear a jam so you are not doing it for the first time mid-game.
Key features

Compatibility
As an AR-pattern AEG, it is designed around M4-type AEG magazines; most mainstream brands fit, but check a magazine before buying several. The handguard accepts Keymod rail sections and Keymod accessories; Picatinny-mount accessories need a Keymod rail section first. Check the battery space and connector before choosing a battery, as compact rifles have limited room.
Care and maintenance
Remove the battery whenever you are not using the rifle, and never leave a LiPo charging unattended. Run a cleaning rod with a clean patch through the inner barrel regularly to keep accuracy consistent, and only use clean, seamless BBs of a decent brand.
After muddy or wet games, wipe the outside down and let the rifle dry naturally before casing it. Check that rails, accessories and the stock are tight, and have any gearbox work carried out by an experienced technician.
Who is it for?
The 7 inch Keymod suits CQB and urban players, smaller players and anyone who wants a light, compact AR with a modern modular handguard.
Please note: A battery and charger are not listed as included, so please check before ordering and choose a battery that fits the rifle’s battery space and connector. Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using or testing any airsoft replica.
