Description
Golden Eagle M870 AR Tactical Tri-Shot Gas Pump Action Shotgun (Medium, Tan)
The Golden Eagle M870 AR Tactical is a gas-powered pump action shotgun based on the legendary Model 870 design, finished in tan. This Medium version pairs the classic pump action with an AR-style stock and pistol grip, giving a modern tactical look and a comfortable, adjustable hold.
Golden Eagle’s M870 shotguns are popular because they feel and work like the real thing: you rack the pump between every shot, and each shot sends a spread of BBs downrange. With the choice of three or six BBs per shot, the M870 is a hard-hitting option for CQB, building clearance and close woodland fights.
How it works
The M870 is powered by gas, which is charged directly into the stock. BBs are loaded into shells, each holding 30 BBs, which are inserted into the gun. Each pump cycles the action, and each pull of the trigger fires three BBs from the triple barrels, or six BBs in the six-shot mode. The pump action means you have to work the gun between shots, just like a real shotgun, which adds to the fun and realism.
The hop-up is fixed, so there is nothing to adjust, and the shotgun is designed to work with either 134a gas or green gas.
Build and materials
The receiver, outer barrel and much of the furniture are metal, including the trigger assembly, front and rear sights and the shell holder. The receiver has a dummy bolt carrier and magazine chamber cover, and the outer barrel carries a fixed bead front sight and a dummy extended magazine tube. A metal 20mm top rail lets you fit an optic or the supplied flip-up detachable front and rear sights. The handguard is plastic with a metal action bar.
The AR-type stock is fitted via a grip adapter with an A2-style pistol grip, so it handles like a carbine and is easy to adjust for comfort. A metal shell holder for six shells lets you carry reloads right on the gun, and quick-detach sling swivels make it easy to fit a sling.
Using it on the field
Shotguns excel in close quarters, where the spread of BBs makes it easier to hit opponents moving between cover. The Medium length balances manoeuvrability with a steady sight picture. Practise racking the pump firmly and fully, as short-stroking can cause misfeeds, and keep spare shells in the shell holder for quick reloads.

Compatibility
Use Golden Eagle M870-compatible shells. The gas reservoir in the stock is filled with 134a or green gas. The 20mm top rail accepts standard rail-mounted optics such as red dots. Use 6mm BBs; good quality seamless 0.20g BBs are a sensible choice with a fixed hop-up.
Care and maintenance
Lubricate the gas fill valve with silicone oil regularly and avoid overfilling. Store the shotgun with a small amount of gas to keep the seals pressed. Keep the shells clean and free of dirt, wipe the metal parts with a lightly oiled cloth to protect the finish, and store the shotgun somewhere dry. Avoid using it in very cold weather, where gas performance drops.
Who is it for?
The M870 AR Tactical suits CQB players, shotgun fans and anyone who enjoys the hands-on feel of a pump action, from new players to experienced skirmishers.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection and check your site’s rules on shotguns before play.
