Description
Guarder Polycarbonate Tappet for TM Ver.3 GearBox (GE-06-03)
This Guarder polycarbonate tappet plate, part code GE-06-03, is a replacement tappet for Tokyo Marui-pattern Version 3 gearboxes. The tappet plate moves the air nozzle back and forth so that each BB is fed into the hop-up chamber before the shot, making it a key part of reliable feeding.
Guarder’s tappet plates are made from polycarbonate, chosen for durability. Fitting a fresh tappet is a sensible step when a rifle starts misfeeding or when you are already rebuilding a Version 3 gearbox.
How a tappet plate works
As the sector gear turns, it pulls the tappet plate back, drawing the air nozzle away from the hop-up so that a BB can drop into place. The tappet’s spring then pushes the nozzle forward to chamber the BB just before the piston is released.
If the tappet is cracked or worn, the nozzle may not move fully, which can cause misfeeds, double-feeds or a loss of power.
Polycarbonate construction
Polycarbonate is a tough, impact-resistant plastic. Guarder’s tappet plates are aimed at durability and are intended to last longer than many standard tappets without changing the rifle’s rate of fire.
Key features
- Guarder replacement part
- Part code GE-06-03
- Polycarbonate tappet plate
- For Tokyo Marui-pattern Version 3 gearboxes
- Controls air nozzle movement for BB feeding
- Built for durability
Compatibility
For Tokyo Marui-pattern Version 3 gearboxes, as used in many AK, G36 and similar AEGs. Version 2 gearboxes need a different tappet (Guarder GE-06-02). Gearbox designs vary between makers, so compare with your existing tappet before ordering.
Care and maintenance
When the gearbox is open, check the tappet’s return spring and the air nozzle at the same time; a weak spring or a split nozzle causes similar feeding problems. Use a thin layer of suitable gearbox grease on sliding surfaces only, and keep grease away from the nozzle and hop-up.
Avoid running a very high rate of fire without checking that the tappet has time to return fully between shots, as this can cause double-feeding or misfeeds. Store the rifle with the battery disconnected and use clean, seamless BBs.
Who is it for?
For owners of Version 3 gearbox AEGs with feeding problems, and for technicians rebuilding or upgrading V3 gearboxes.
Please note: Fitting requires gearbox disassembly. Air nozzle and tappet spring are not included unless shown.
