Guarder Stainless Steel Cylinder Head for TM AEGs – Ver.3 GearBox (GE-04-11)
Guarder’s GE-04-11 is the stainless steel cylinder head for Version 3 AEG gearboxes of the Tokyo Marui pattern. It is the Version 3 counterpart to Guarder’s GE-04-10 head, made for the gearbox found in AK, G36 and many other popular AEG platforms.
The cylinder head sits at the front of the cylinder, catching the piston at the end of its stroke and passing the compressed air through to the air nozzle. Replacing a cracked or worn head with a stainless steel one is a common step when building a dependable Version 3 gearbox.
Strength where it matters
Every shot ends with the piston head slamming into the cylinder head, so this part takes a real beating, especially with a stronger spring or a high rate of fire. Stainless steel resists that wear far better than plastic and keeps a consistent face for the piston head to seal against.
A good head is only part of the seal, so pair it with a well-fitted piston head, a healthy cylinder and an air nozzle of the right length for your hop-up unit.
Fitting
Version 3 gearboxes have to be removed from the receiver before they can be opened, which is more involved than on many Version 2 rifles. Disconnect the battery, note the position of every part as you go, and check the air seal by hand before closing the shell. If you are new to Version 3 work, a technician can fit it for you.

Compatibility
Made for Version 3 gearboxes to the Tokyo Marui pattern. It will not suit Version 2 gearboxes, for which Guarder makes the GE-04-10. Clone gearboxes vary slightly, so check the fit with your cylinder and nozzle and test the seal after assembly.
Care and maintenance
Keep the battery disconnected whenever the rifle is not in use, and avoid dry-firing for long periods with no BBs, as it increases wear on the piston and cylinder head.
When servicing, wipe old grease from the cylinder, lightly lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease and check the cylinder head face for damage. Keep the hop-up and inner barrel clean and oil-free.
