Hwasan 4.5mm Revolver Shells (Metal – 1pc)
A single spare metal shell for Hwasan 4.5mm revolvers. Hwasan revolvers are shell-loading: as with a real revolver, each round is loaded into its own shell before going into the cylinder. This is sold as one piece, so you can replace a lost or damaged shell or build up a set of extras.
Shells are easy to lose when reloading in a hurry or in long grass, and a revolver is only as useful as the number of shells you have for it. Keeping a few spares in your kit bag means one missing shell will not leave your cylinder short.
Why shells matter
Shell-loading revolvers are popular because they recreate the feel of loading a real revolver: you load the shells, drop them into the cylinder, close it and fire, then eject the empties to reload. Many players carry pre-loaded shells in a speedloader or pouch so they can reload quickly during a game. For Hwasan revolvers in 4.5mm calibre. Hwasan also makes 6mm shells, which are not interchangeable, so check which calibre your revolver uses before ordering. Shells from other brands may not fit Hwasan revolvers; if unsure, bring your revolver into the Thetford shop or contact us.
Care and maintenance
Keep shells clean and dry, and wipe off any dirt before loading them into the cylinder, as grit can damage the cylinder and affect accuracy. Check shells for damage from time to time and retire any that no longer holds a round firmly. Store them in a pouch or box so they are easy to find.
