The JG D90 (model P98-4) is an electric airsoft SMG styled on the futuristic bullpup personal defence weapon that has become famous through films and video games. This version is finished in blue and comes with a battery and charger, so once the battery is charged you have everything you need to start playing apart from BBs and eye protection.
JG (Jing Gong) is one of the longest-running names in affordable airsoft, and its P90-style SMGs have introduced a great many players to the sport. The D90 is compact, light and very easy to handle, which makes it a natural choice for CQB sites, younger or smaller players and anyone who wants a distinctive, fun replica without a large outlay.
Design and layout
The bullpup layout places the mechanism behind the grip, so the D90 keeps a useful barrel length inside a very short overall package. The magazine sits horizontally along the top of the receiver, in the style of the original design, keeping the profile slim and leaving nothing sticking out below the gun to catch on cover or kit. The moulded thumbhole grip and integrated stock give a comfortable, natural hold.
Performance
As an AEG, the D90 gives consistent semi and full-auto fire powered by its rechargeable battery, with no gas to buy and no drop-off in performance on cold days. Its short length makes it quick to point and easy to manoeuvre in corridors, doorways and vehicles. Set the hop-up for the BB weight you use, and it will give dependable performance at the ranges most CQB and close woodland play takes place at.
Handling in the game
The D90’s light weight and compact shape make it quick to bring up, and it is comfortable to carry all day. It also works well as a secondary for players who use a long rifle or a sniper rifle but want something handy for close work, and it is a popular first gun for newer players thanks to its simplicity.
Getting started
Charge the supplied battery fully before first use, following the charger’s instructions and never leaving it unattended. Fit the battery as the manual shows, load the magazine with good quality 6mm BBs and test fire into a safe backstop. Start with the hop-up turned low and increase it a little at a time until the BBs fly flat. Have the gun chronographed at your site before play, and keep a spare loaded magazine in a pouch so a reload is never far away.

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
Charge the battery only with a suitable charger and under supervision, and disconnect it from the gun after each game. Clean the inner barrel regularly with a cleaning rod and soft cloth, use good quality seamless BBs, and do not leave a loaded magazine in the gun in storage. Avoid firing it with an empty magazine for long periods.
