The Laylax Prometheus EG Barrel for CQB-R/MC51 is a 285mm stainless steel inner barrel with a 6.03mm tight bore. It suits shorter AEGs that use the 285mm length, such as CQB-R style M4s and the MC51.

Build and materials
The barrel is made from stainless steel and finished with a 6.03mm bore. Stainless steel is rigid and resists corrosion, so the barrel keeps a smooth bore over a long service life. At 285mm it matches the length used by CQB-R and MC51 type replicas.
Why it helps
A tight bore reduces the air that escapes around the BB as it travels down the barrel. In a short barrel this helps consistency and efficiency, provided the hop-up rubber is in good condition and correctly set.
Fitting a new barrel is a good chance to check the bucking and air seal. After installation, set the hop-up for your BB weight and test the replica on a chronograph, as a tighter bore may raise muzzle velocity a little.

Compatibility
Designed for AEGs that use a 285mm inner barrel, including CQB-R style M4s and the MC51. Other replicas with the same barrel length and a standard hop-up unit may also accept it, but always measure your existing barrel first. The hop-up rubber is sold separately.
Care and maintenance
Clean the bore with a rod and a dry patch before fitting, and again whenever shots begin to wander. Keep oils and grease out of the barrel and away from the bucking.
Use seamless BBs and store the replica with the magazine and battery out. Treat the barrel gently when it is out of the gun; even a slight bend or a damaged crown will affect accuracy.
